Tuesday 4/30:@ Rush City Loss 11 - 8. Few Errors in the game, with Rush posting 11 hits and PC having 8. Doubles posted by Serena Steele(2) and Lexi Cummings (1). We couldn't quite dig deep enough to over come 11 runs by Rush, we were down 5-11 at the bottom of the 6th, We were able to dig deep and take advantage of a pitching change with 3 additional runs in the 7th inning, but wasn't quite enough.
Wednesday: 5/1: @ Aitkin Win 16-9 With snow still on the ground near the field the girls found their hitting sticks for this game. The girls had 17 singles from 8 of the 9 girls in the line up. Becca Broz and Serena Steele each posting 3 hits. Defensively the Dragons ended the game with a pick off of first base resulting in a field clearing hot box. (2-3-6-4-5-9-6) "Un-officially." Shelbie Furber stayed poised and pitched well against the hard hitting Aitkin gave up 7 hits, and 9 runs, with 5 K's.
Thursday: 5/2: @ Ogilive Win 14-0 On a Blistering cold and windy day in Ogilvie. Shelbie Furber pitched a 1-Hitter, narrowly missing a perfect game by one base hit in the bottom of the 5th inning. The first 4 innings the dragons retired the Lions 1-2-3 allowing no one to reach first base. The one batter that did reach first in the 5th inning was quickly put out by a 4-6-3 double play on the very next pitch. The dragons played amazing defense, with crisp throws and key catches in the outfield. Offensively the Gals shared the load with 2 hits between 7 batters. Doubles posted by Glicel Gollena and Taylor Dehkes, Serena Steele posted 3 singles of her own.
